Conventional heat warms only the epidermal (outer) layers of the skin, penetrating up to 3mm (3/25 of an inch). In contrast, infrared heat penetrates deeply into joints, muscles and tendons (up to 2.36 inches). Blood flow increases to the affected area for faster healing and pain relief. The TDP Mineral Heat Lamp not only gives infrared heat, but its heating plate is also coated with a proprietary mixture of 33 minerals. When activated by the heat, the mineral plate emits a powerful band of far-infrared energy. Use it anywhere you have muscle or joint pain. Adjustable lamp head from as low as 12” to as high as 60”. Choice of continuous “on” mode, or timer up to 60 minutes. Casters for easy movement. Emits 250 watts; weighs 25 pounds.
