Dowsing

To dowse is to search with the aid of a hand-held instrument, such as a forked stick, a pendulum or L rods, for any substance--water flowing in underground streams, a vein of minerals, a pool of oil, a buried utility pipe or even a missing item or person. It is also the primary method of determining geopathic zones. Also called "water witching" or "divining," dowsing is a powerful tool in trained hands. We offer a variety of tools and books to help you understand the process. To learn more, join the American Society of Dowsers and attend its dowsing conferences.
