Neodymium is a rare earth element that is extremely powerful. These are the strongest magnets used for biomagnetic purposes--3 to 4 times more powerful than comparable sizes in ceramics. Magnet measures .500" in diameter and .250" thick, with an average Gauss rating of approximately 12,000 to 16,000. Nickel-plated to prevent rusting and other damage. Red dot indicates south pole.
