This unique sauna uses radiant (infrared) energy instead of the more common hot-air system. A conventional sauna relies on indirect heat, first on convection (air currents) and then conduction (contact of the hot air on skin) to produce temperatures of 180º-235ºF. This excessive hot air heats the skin superficially. A radiant system heats objects directly without heating the air in between. It can warm its user more efficiently than a conventional sauna because it penetrates the body’s tissues to a depth of more than 1.5”. Less than 20% of the infrared energy heats the air, leaving more than 80% to be directly converted to heat in our bodies at temperatures ranging from 110º-140º.
The Easy far-infrared saunas use the newest technology in far-infrared heat—micro-carbon heat panels. They produce the gentlest yet deepest penetrating radiant heat. Unlike most carbon heat panels, there are no wires, making them more efficient and effective.
All units have digital controls, glass doors, recessed interior lights, exterior overhang with its own recessed light, built-in radio and CD player, and fresh-air vent. Easy assembly.
Four models are available, differing by size and style. In addition, most models come in a choice of Canadian cedar and, for those allergic to cedar, non-allergenic Canadian hemlock.
